Hi friends, hope your week is going well! Excited to share a Girls Night In Bachelorette Party that I attended this weekend at a lake near Greenville, SC for one of my very best friends.
I feel like I’m still adjusting from this quick trip! My parents convinced me to also bring Sully since it’s no extra charge for a lap infant up to 2 years. My oh my how things are different now that she is mobile! It makes plane rides a lot more complicated, not to mention only having one set of hands for her, the stroller and the luggage was a game changer without Ryan.
If you’re a regular reader, you know I’ve mentioned that two of my best friends are getting married on the same day, which also happens to be our 5-year anniversary! May 14th can’t get here soon enough, but I was so happy to at least see this bride-to-be for a weekend at Lake Keowee for her bachelorette party.
I’ve known Amanda since 6th grade (although we technically met in 5th), so we’re going on 17 years of friendship here guys! She stuck with me through that awkward middle school phase, was my little brother and sister’s nanny all through high school and continues to be one of my best Mama friends out there (y’all should see how adorable her little girl Madeline is!). It was so nice to celebrate her with all her friends spanning from middle school, to high school, to college and beyond.
I live in my Lilly maxi’s during the summer you guys, while the print I’m wearing is sold out, I love this one on sale and just bought this one for the upcoming wedding festivities (cardigan on sale under $50 here, sunglasses here).
We all arrived on Saturday and decorated the beautiful lake house we were staying in to make it even more special. I picked up most of the decor either at Target (gold straws, stripe straws, napkins, plates, utensils, animal cookies, birthday cake Oreos, cinnamon bun Oreos, Cheers balloons) or ordered it ahead of time off of Amazon. I love using wrapping paper as a table runner (or in this case almost like a table cloth) ever since the girls did it for my baby shower last year. Amanda’s sweet MOH did the banner over the fireplace for the lingerie shower, how cute!
That night we had the perfect girls night in with a pasta dinner, good drinks, nail painting, playing games and a lingerie shower for the bride.
In the morning we woke up and make our way back to Greenville where we had brunch at Southern Culture before parting ways. It was the perfect way to cap a weekend celebrating our girl, I can’t wait to see everyone in just one month!
The Bloody Mary bar had me wishing they were my drink of choice, but I opted for a mimosa instead. Being back in the South meant friend chicken and biscuits with gravy for brunch, DELISH!
My flight on Sunday was late, so I also got to enjoy some family time! We even got bonus grandma/auntie time too when Ryan’s Mom and sister came up to visit. It was so nice to have everyone together, sure do miss these folks!
We jump back on a plane here in a couple weeks to head down to South Carolina again for Sully’s birthday party (she’s almost ONE! crazy… see the one year smash cake photos here). Anyone have tips on how to keep Sully content in my lap for our next trip?
