Ok really, we did do more than eat. Truly.
Here’s some of the great things we crammed into our awesome little trip:
One day when I’m rich and famous, I will own this $6K painting! Kathy Sullivan is definitely a top favorite artist. I had to bring a piece home with me, luckily she hand-stretched her Kentucky photo for this year’s Derby and I was lucky enough to snag the last one!
Here’s some other great pieces that hung in this gallery:
Here’s her 138 paintings she did for the 138 years of the Derby with the year and winning jockey on each print. I was so tempted to get the 2011 one for our wedding anniversary, but I figured that could just be saved for a great gift or two (hint, hint, hubs!)
And now back to some other awesome stuff we did… like meet Colonel Sanders (at least the wax figurine).
We even made it to Louisville Stoneware, which I’m glad we were able to find. I even picked up a mug for my Nana for Mother’s Day.
Ok I couldn’t help it, I had to throw in some food pics. Here’s our eclectic and great dinner from Ramsi’s Cafe of the World, which was a recommedation from a local. It was great!
