Happy Birthday Ryan! The Derby was the weekend before we went to Louisville, but we decided that it wouldn’t be a proper trip without a visit to Churchill Downs. Tickets. Check. (for free, thank you hotel concierge) Preppy Atire. Check. Mint Juleps. Check. Mint Juleps in Official Derby Cups. Check. Betting. Check. I think we did it right! We were a little surprised by all
Louisville Trip :: Day 1 :: 610 Magnolia
Last May I had theĀ privilegeĀ of (very briefly) meeting Edward Lee, Chef/Owner of 610 Magnolia at the Le Creuset and Garden & Gun Chef’s Roundtable. When we decided that Louisville would be our anniversary destination, I knew we had to eat at 610 Magnolia. We made reservations way in advance and called when we got to Louisville to see if we could come early for a
Louisville Trip :: Day 1 :: Nord's Bakery
We groggily arrived at our hotel in Louisville on Wednesday night around 1am ready to hit the sack and wake up fresh and ready to get out on the town the next day. When a peep of sunlight came through our blacked out hotel curtains Thursday morning, I could just tell it was going to be an epic day. And I was not disappointed one

Gardening 101
This weekend we decided to tackle a few outdoor projects on our house. This called for me to do some gardening. If you’re like me, my gardening education is minimal to none. So I headed to the expert’s house (aka my Nana) for some gardening 101. The end result turned out pretty good I think, only time will tell though if my plants will live
Zorba's
Ryan works in a shopping center that contains a restaurant we’ve always been a little curious about. It’s called Zorba’s. Yes Zorba’s. Considering Ryan is about to move to another company, we decided it’s now or never and we should try it while he’s only a few steps away. Not to mention, a few friends have mentioned lately that we definitely need to give it

Stella & Dot!If you’re not too familiar with them, click here to see the beautiful jewels that await you!I had a fun little girls night back in the Fall and I am FINALLY getting around to ordering jewels with my own hostess credits earned from that party. Homemade Baked Donuts!
I. Love. Donuts. Don’t you? And just like everyone else I’ve always wished they were healthier. Ok maybe healthier isn’t the right word, let’s just say not as fattening. When I saw a baked donut recipe on Pinterest, I just knew I had to try out the recipe. The glazed donuts were great when they came out of the oven, but they weren’t so great
Design States
I happened to run across this fun free download the other day. I think the South Carolina one is of course the most perfect state design on here, but I’ll let you decide.
Ally's Recital!
Tonight we went to a piano recital for my younger sister Ally. She did so good, definitely one of the best, but I may be a little bias! I wish I kept up with the piano, but I’m glad I had basic lessons as a kid and even played Colors of the Wind (from Pocahontas) at my own recital! Love you Ally!
