This past weekend was a busy one y’all, phew! So busy in fact, that I’m going to double the posts and bring you a part I and part II!
We went from Virginia to Florida and back to Virginia in three short days, but in that small window of time we managed to see family, celebrate my Goddaughter’s First Communion, Ry’s Birthday and Mothers Day!
We actually jumped on a plane to Jacksonville after work on Thursday night and arrived around midnight to my Aunt and Uncle’s house about 30/40 minutes away from the airport. We had a fancy new Delta plane and great reading material in Sky Magazine with a feature on Tory Burch!
Friday morning got to a bright and early start because we were just so excited to see everyone and start the fun weekend that my Uncle oh so meticulously planned. Here’s some shots of their beautiful home and gorgeous views that I got to wake up to:
We spent the majority of Friday wandering around historic downtown Amelia Island sightseeing, eating and shopping. Now do you see why this is one of my most favorite little cities!?
My sweet Papa put up with us girls for the beginning of the day while Ryan and my Uncle were shooting skeet and the kiddos were at school.
(PS, I’m loving this comfy cotton Lilly dress that was only $34 from a local consignment store, Clementine, here in RVA!)
We were sad that The Marina was closed that day, but had a fresh lunch and beautiful view at Brett’s Waterway Cafe, my shrimp salad was delish!
Dessert was in order after lunch and I couldn’t wait to see the fudge and get some ice cream at my childhood favorite place Fernandina’s Fantastic Fudge!
We hit up a lot of the really cute shops around downtown too, but Twisted Sisters was definitely a favorite!
Isn’t this a fun way to tie a scarf as a vest/coverup!?
I’m still kicking myself for not scooping up this ombre Judith March beauty
at Lemongrass boutique too, isn’t it just the most perfect summer dress?!
After downtown, we came back to the house and I got some time to relax out on the floating dock with my book club read of the month, The Perfume Collector (see more on our book club here). It definitely was one of my favorite books that we’ve read yet, I highly recommend it!
A frequent star on my Instagram feed, I can’t seem to take the above Kate Spade sandals off that I bought recently at their new Richmond store in Short Pump during their 25% off shoe sale!
Dinner Friday night was at Amelia National Country Club where Ryan, Papa and Uncle Kevin played golf earlier that day. It was so nice to sit down with my family to catch up and chow down!
I was also really excited to finally have a good excuse to wear my new Sail to Sable tunic that I got on sale from my fav online boutique, Tuckernuck!
Photo-bombing and selfies were in full effect that night!
And that was just one day in Florida!! Saturday held the main event of Grace’s First Communion and Sunday was pretty epic with a surprise party for Ry, stay tuned!
