How was everyone’s week? Let’s catch up and share some 5 on Friday!
I was super excited to get back to our schedule we had gotten into a groove on prior to “mid-term” which is when schools and all activities (like ballet) just shut down for a week. Teachers here can’t work over six weeks straight, hence the week off. It was right when we hit our stride too and it just threw us back.
So to say I’m very grateful for this week to help reset us is an understatement, especially because starting next Thursday we have TWELVE WEEKS of guests coming into town. Yep, I have people living with me or in town from June 14th until September 2nd. I’m super excited to see all my friends and family from all different stages of life, from my high school bestie, to our DC besties, to our RVA besties, to my sister and Mom, but y’all… I really value schedules and time to just sit and blog or read, how am I going to survive?
Ok now for the point of this post, 5 on Friday!

{ONE} Kew Gardens
We went to Kew Gardens on Sunday with some friends for a picnic. It was an amazing park, you guys. You do have to pay to get into this one, but I think it was worth it with all there was to do. There are two HUGE greenhouses, a treetop treehouse, kids activities, a tea room, large fields, rose gardens, and more. If you’re coming to London any time soon, put it on your list.
{TWO} Legally Blonde 3!
Legally Blonde defined my early teens… anyone else? I’m talking, I got a chihuahua, the soundtrack was on repeat, I researched becoming a lawyer, and fell deeply in love with Luke Wilson (who I got to meet years later! See photo below!). Sounds drastic, but I’m sure some of y’all are with me. Oh and it sparked my girl crushing on Reese Witherspoon who is still my favorite actress to this day. I even loved Legally Blonde 2.
And now there IS a Legally Blonde 3 coming back starring Reese again! See Reese’s confirmation here, so classic! Who is in London or wants to come to London and see it with me? Or maybe we’ll be back in the US by that time… Eek! Can’t wait!!!!
{THREE} The Thousandth Floor
I’ve been on quite the reading kick lately! The Thousandth Floor and then The Dazzling Heights/Vertigo have been two that I just couldn’t put down. They’re Young Adult futuristic reads which is so not my favorite genre, but these are just insanely good. It’s like Gossip Girl set 100 years in the future when New York has essentially turned into a giant tower and the higher up you are, the wealthier. There’s a death, love triangles, futuristic ideas which are amazing to think about, and just so much going on there’s no way to put it down. Highly recommend! Get it here.
{FOUR} New Draper James Lemon Dress
I have a thing for lemons. For some reason, I craved all things lemon when I was pregnant with Sully and then after falling in love with Positano, I just can’t get enough of them. Enter this new shirtdress from Draper James. A total splurge, but I just couldn’t help but share you guys!
Click here for this lovely lemon dress.
Instead, I’m contemplating one of these for a fraction of the price (sadly, no lemons included).
This is my favorite of the bunch, under $100.
Click here for this stripe and floral number that’s really similar.
Love this gingham embroidered option for $60 right now.
Click here for this 1901 dress, love this brand, it’s what I wore for me and Sully’s Paris pictures!
{FIVE} A Couple Accessories from Tuckernuck
Tuckernuck kills me every time they release a new lookbook, but this time these two accessories stole the show! A perfect watermelon clutch and even more perfect pair of gold sandals!
Click here for the watermelon clutch.
That’s a wrap on 5 on Friday! Did you see our post on our trip to Windsor? Pin it for your future London trips (it’s only 45 minutes away!) and go watch the super cute video. It was so neat to be there a week after the Royal Wedding with all the decorations still up! Click here.
